I was born in
Drummondville, Quebec. Since I grew up in a French household and was
educated in English from the age of eleven, I think of myself as
being Frenglish!
I attended Cegep and
University in Montreal where I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in translation.
Two years later, I fulfilled my dream of living on a tropical island by
moving to Grenada in the West Indies with my partner and our newborn son. I
spent nearly four years living alongside my Grenadian in-laws, enjoying the
beautiful scenery and numerous beaches. This was a turning point for me in
many ways as it was also during that time that I wrote my first stories and
thus discovered my passion for writing.
I have since returned
to Drummondville where, while perfecting my writing skills, I worked at
various jobs such as teaching English to adults, selling children's books,
and translating.
I am now happily
self-employed writing for both children and adults as well as translating all
sorts of documents.
I am a member of the
Society of Children’s Book Writers
and Illustrators and the
Literary Translators’ Association of
Canada.
